Sebaceous Cyst and Lipomas

These small swellings below the skin are usually stubborn and occassionally disfiguring. While lipomas are collections of fat, sebaceous cysts arise from glands close to hair follicles and can occassionally get infected. Uncommonly, these swellings can grow in size. It is usually advisable to remove these early on if they start to become a bother. However, in most cases these are beingn in nature.
