PRP and GFC for Hairloss
The human body is full of the ability to heal itself. Regenerative medicine is an area that tries to trigger the body's natural healing system to help repair tissues. PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) hair restoration operates on this principle, using the body’s own resources to stimulate hair growth, and restore vitality to hair follicles that aren't active.
At Niara Aesthetics, we use the most advanced systems for PRP and GFC hair restoration, producing a very high concentration without requiring as much blood drawn from our patients. Our aim is to help our patients have thicker, healthier hair by stimulating hair growth from beneath the surface of the scalp. What is PRP and GFC Hair Restoration?
PRP hair restoration is a well known, well tolerated, effective and natural treatment using the healing and cell-regenerating abilities contained within our own blood. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) is derived from a small amount of blood taken from your arm. The important factors are separated from the rest of the blood and injected into the scalp. GFC treatments are more advanced compared to PRP and contain a high concentration of factors such as PDGF, IGF and EGF. PRP/GFC are safe, minimally-invasive breakthrough technology for hair restoration and are relatively painless. These factors stimulate the hair follicles, and makes the hair more thick and full.
PRP/GFC Hair Restoration Treatments: How they Work
By spinning a blood sample taken from a patient in a centrifuge and in a specialized vial, it is possible to separate the plasma and platelets from the blood cells. This process makes it possible to achieve a plasma that has 10 times more platelets than are usually found in blood, and this “platelet-rich” plasma can then be used to treat a number of ailments.
PRP and GFC is a relatively new technique, but it is one that has become increasingly popular in recent years. It’s not hard to understand why. While the treatment is available at many locations, you want to ensure that every aspect is managed with the utmost care and attention to detail.
